Beatty’s Maneuver (Piriformis)

With the patient lying on their asymptomatic side, and the hip flexed at 90 degrees, the patient Abducts the hip against a downward resistive force.  Pain localized to the buttock/piriformis muscle is positive for piriformis based pain.
