Femoral Stretch Test

The femoral stretch test is performed with the patient lying prone.  Passively flex the patients knee and extend the hip.  The test is positive if this maneuver reproduces the patients pain within the femoral nerve or L2, 3, 4 pattern in the anterior thigh.
