Tinel’s Sign – Greater Occipital Nerve

This video demonstrates the Tinel’s sign for the Greater Occipital Nerve. Percussion 1/3 of the distance from the Occipital protuberance to the Mastoid process. If the patient has reproduction of pain shooting from the occipital to the frontal region of the head this is a positive sign for Greater Occipital Neuralgia.
