Tinel’s Sign – Median Nerve (Carpal Tunnel)
This video demonstrates performing a Tinel’s sign over the median nerve at the wrist. Percussion occurs at the level of the carpal bones, between the muscle bulk of the thenar and hypothenar compartments. A positive test is reproduction of the patient’s symptoms of parenthesis (pins and needles) within the median territory (lateral 3 1/2 fingers).
